Dr Trehan is a UK-trained orthopaedic consultant with 25 years of experience specialising in arthroscopy, arthroplasty and trauma surgery. He completed several fellowship training in the United Kingdom, Germany and Austria. He has authored or co-authored numerousl international publications, recently he has been involved in clinical research on COVID. He has collaborated with international authors and one of those three publications has been awarded Guinness world record for the most authors (15,025) on a single peer-reviewed academic paper.

Dr Trehan is a keen educator and completed a postgraduate qualification in medical education from prestigious Cambridge University. He currently holds an adjunct associate professor position at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, and Gulf Medical University, Ajman. He is an examiner for the Royal College of England and has extensive experience as an advanced trauma life support instructor. A strong advocate of continuous professional development, Dr Trehan gained a master’s degree in International Healthcare Management and Leadership at the Manchester Business School.

Dr Trehan has held several managerial positions throughout his career and is an active member of several hospital committees. He has also helped in various charity projects in India and received a silver Jubilee award from his medical school in 2015 to recognise his accomplishments.

Currently, Dr Trehan is a Medical Director of Admission and Transfer Centre at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, a flagship hospital of Abu Dhabi Health Services, in partnership with Mayo Clinic, USA.
